Family Camping Tents & Shelters

Find a tent that fits your family’s sleeping mats, bags and everyday routines. Compare room layouts and packed sizes before choosing a weekend base. Daytime shelters and screen houses serve a different purpose from sleeping tents.

Find the right family camping tent

Discover spacious multi-room tents, convenient dome tents and screened outdoor shelters. A screen house provides daytime shelter and should not be used as a sleeping tent unless specifically approved for that purpose. Check waterproof ratings, ventilation, pitching method and dimensions on each product page.

Choosing a family camping tent

A family tent is your home for the weekend. Start with your sleeping layout, then compare standing room, packed weight and pitching style.

How much tent space do we need?

Measure the sleeping mats or airbeds you plan to use and compare them with the floor plan. Allow extra space for bags and movement; a person rating alone will not tell you how comfortable your family will be.

What should we check before a UK camping trip?

Read the manufacturer’s guidance on intended conditions, inspect every part and practise pitching. Match your plans to the forecast and campsite facilities, and take all specified pegs and guylines.
